John Bramwell

Slightly chaotic, utterly compelling, quite beautiful and frequently hilarious” (The Guardian)

I Am Kloot’s Mercury-nominated singer songwriter returns to the Cloudspotting stage for a second visit (his first came in 2014), armed with his first new set of songs since the compelling “Leave Alone The Empty Spaces” in 2018.

John’s newest collection has been waiting on ice since Covid hit, and we are thrilled to be one of the first events to hear his songs.  He might be considered a veteran these days but like a vintage wine, he gets better with age.  The between-song stories gather more hilarity while the bruised ale-stained laments and distinctive lyrical prowess, gain more resonance.

With these new recordings ready to coincide with a bag of classic songs from his extraordinary vault, John brings poetry, great guitar playing, a unique voice and a little bit of unwieldy spontaneity and chaos, which we can always use at Cloudspotting.

The only challenge we’ll have is keeping him tied to his hour long slot!
